Hard Disk

According to Western Digital’s
website, they boast about their reliable hard
drives and solid state drives that
involve everything from computers to
external and portable storage
devices. Their drives are in everything from
digital recorders in living rooms
to sophisticated medical, military,
aerospace, manufacturing and
telecommunications systems. Their
customers are some of the largest
companies in the world, as well as
individual users. They have
products in both internal and external hard
drives and solid state drives. Some
include, My Book Studio, My Book 3.0,
My Book Studio LX just to name a few.
Out of all of the products they
sell, I would definitely find myself going for a
portable external hard disk because
it can add tons of extra space. Even if
my current computer has a lot of
space on the stock hard drive I can buy an
external hard drive to give me a
big boost in the amount of data I can store
on my computer. Western Digital
sells a lot of very reliable and affordable
hard drives that are very enticing
and make the decision process a tough
one, but if I had to pick just one
hard drive i would choose the 2 TB USB
compatible My Book for Mac because
I like Mac’s and it seems like it has a
lot of space that could really work
well with my laptop.
CD/DVD writer/player
Sony
According to Sony’s website, Sony
is a leading manufacturer of audio, video,
communications, and information
technology products for the consumer and
professional markets. Their motion
picture, television, computer
entertainment, music and online
businesses make Sony one of the most
comprehensive entertainment and
technology companies in the world. They
sell an assortment of electronic
devices, some of which include CD/ DVD
writer/players. Some of their
noteworthy DVD player products include but
are not limited to: DVP-SR200P/B
DVD player, DVP-FX930 portable DVD
player, as well as the DVP-FX730
portable DVD player just to name a few.
Considering that on the go its always nice to be able to watch a movie from
time to time, I would definitely
enjoy a Sony DVD player. Since I already
have one at my house I would
probably elect to buy a portable one so that
I’m never bored when I am away from home for an extended
period of time.
To maximize the cost value of my purchase I would want a
Sony DVD player
that would have the ability to have
a large screen as well as a nice, clear
picture that really jumps out at
you. To match up with these requirements I
would have to go with the DVP-FX930
portable DVD player by Sony.
Flash Memory drive (USB)

According to OCZ’s website, SSDs

of computers today. In addition to
SSD technology, OCZ also offers high

computing devices and systems, including
enterprise class power management
products as well leading edge computer
gaming solutions. Some of their
most popular products for Flash Memory
drives include but are not limited
to: the OCZ Rally 2 Turbo USB 2.0 Flash
drive, the OCZ ATV Turbo USB 2.0
Flash drive, and OCZ Diesel USB 2.0
Flash Drive just to name a few.
All of these are very nice USB
Flash drives and have been known to work
very reliably. For me, it all comes
down to price, of course, as well as space
and the looks factor as well. After
going through a number of the USB Flash
drives they sell OCZ Technology has
done well at meeting my requirements
for a Flash drive. Coming to a
final decision, I will have to choose the OCZ
ATV Turbo USB 2.0 Flash drive mostly because of its really
cool yellow
design on the outside but also
because its water proof! So just in case I go
to the beach with my homework saved
on my OCZ ATV Turbo USB 2.0 Flash
drive and I dive into the ocean
with it in my pocket I wont loose all my
precious material for class later on that day. What a superb invention!
